Mayacamas is an old estate that was rejuvenated a little over a decade ago, and now they get huge scores every year. Grapes for this bottling come from high up in Napa’s Mount Veeder District, and produce an opulent, almost over the top Cab that blooms with a few hours in the decanter. It’s absolutely packed to the brim with all sorts of alluring black fruits, coffee, sage, graphite, and dusty country road. A true experience. – M.A.
