Cline Merlot Sonoma Coast – 750Ml Supply

Merlot, 750ml, ABV 14.0-percent.The grapes for this wine came from Cline’s Carneros Home Vineyard and their Lazy C Estate Vineyard, both in the Sonoma Coast region with fog-and-wind-cooled southern Sonoma Carneros growing regions surrounding the winery. The cool growing conditions bring out the classic herbal flavors of these grapes, which are hand-picked and destemmed without crushing. This gentle handling minimizes extraction of the bitter elements in the seed and stems. The grapes are then pumped to a stainless tank where fermentation temperature is controlled and wine is pressed at dryness. Malolactic fermentation is completed in the primary fermenter, then the wine is moved to barrels where 35-percent of it is aged in new French oak for 14 months.
