  • HOW: Aberlour 18 year starts out in traditional hogshead barrels before its transfered into Oloroso Sherry butts for an additional maturation. That Sherry finishing is what gives Aberlour its textbook sweetness and weight.
  • WHAT: Aberlour distillery was built in 1879 and today continues to be one of the most quaint and picturesque single malt facilities in Scotland, nestled next to the Burn of Aberlour river in the Speyside region of the Scottish Highlands. Like Macallan, it’s renowned for its Sherry-matured malts of distinctive richness and weight.
