ANIMAS MEZCAL PAPALOTE, crafted by renowned mezcalero Luis Angeles Reyes in Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca, features maguey Papalometl (agave Cupreata) harvested after 8 years and distilled using traditional methods including cooking in a conical ground oven, milling with a tahona, and fermenting in wooden vats. The result is a sweet and herbal aroma, with a refreshing and minty taste on the palate. Previous batches of this mezcal were handcrafted by mezcalero Romualdo Martínez.
