In 1997, Charlie Crocker and Pam Starr established Crocker & Starr with a common goal of resurrecting the historic Crocker Vineyard Estate and creating world-class wines from its extraordinary terroir.
For Charlie and Pam, 1 Post symbolizes more than a landmark San Francisco address. In that iconic building, over two decades ago, the Crocker & Starr partnership was sealed with a handshake. A meeting of the minds that created an historic ‘bridge’ between San Francisco and Napa . . . 1 Post – a small lot 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the estate’s heritage vineyard blocks . . . celebrates the genesis of Crocker & Starr.
Heritage clones Jenkins, See, Bosche and Jackson planted on varying rootstocks in Block 1. The names are carried over from budwood handed from one vineyard owner to another and each carrying a distinctive flavor profile.
