Description
Del maguey mezcal arroqueño
This exclusive 360-bottle batch of semi-wild maguey Arroqueño was made in dedication to Thor Heyerdahl, renowned biologist, explorer, and humanitarian. The maguey was roasted in a conical pit, buried beneath earth for 3 days, and fermented by airborne microbes for one month. Then, using a centuries-old Oaxacan clay still, bamboo tubing, and double-distillation process, it was crafted by hand. Delicate notes of cantaloupe and baking chocolate envelop the palate, while vegetal flavors of fresh green beans provide a savory finish.
