Varietal: Grenache, Syrah

 

Sophie and Jean Marc Autran farm some of the oldest and most advantageously situated vineyard sites in the Côtes du Rhône Villages area of Sablet, located in the shadows of the Dentelles de Montmirail. This unique 200 million year old, pushed up from the earth, mountainous outcrop laid a limestone base to the soil adding a singular stylistic component to the wines emanating from the surrounding vineyards.

 

This classic Rhone combination of Grenache and Syrah picked from numerous plots around Sablet is a great representative of this up and coming appellation. Lovely spicy exotic aromas with a hint of liquored cherries introduce you to this mouth-filling and delicate wine which tapers to a long, fine and elegant finish.
