HOW: Using a top quality Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez casks, Glendronach is finished for two years in fresh Sherry after a decade in refill casks. It’s a formula used by Balvenie and Glenmorangie as well, but no one seems to do it quite as well as Glendronach.

WHAT: Glendronach Distillery is located in the Eastern Highlands, somewhat remote compared to its more concentrated Speyside brethren. Having been resurrected by Billy Walker and team in the early 2000s, the distillery was sold to Brown-Forman (Jack Daniels) in 2017.
