LLa Venenosa Raicilla Costa de Jalisco is crafted under the skillful guidance of Maestro Tabernero Don Alberto Hernández in the mountainous town of Llano Grande, Cabo Corrientes. Varying batches employ either 100% Agave Rhodacantha (Mexicano) or a mixture of Amarillo and Chicho Aguilar, traditionally roasted in a wood-fired adobe oven and then twice distilled in a copper-crafted Philippino still and hollowed out tree trunk. Its flavor is complex, alternating between sweet, spiced fruit and herbs before settling into a velvety finish.
