Murphy-Goode Zinfandel Snake Eyes – 750ML
The ‘Snake Eyes’ designation is awarded to our best Zinfandel vineyards of the vintage. The 2006 Vintage with its long cool growing season created rich and powerful Zinfandels in Alexander Valley. We decided to blend the Elaine Maria Vineyard, the 2003 and 2004 Snake Eyes winner, known for its beautiful rich dark fruit with our old stand-by, the old-vine Ellis Ranch, the 2005 winner, known for its great structure.
In addition, a new component to Snake Eyes this year is the Trusendi Ranch which joined the party contributing jammy fruit with great depth. The 2006 Snake Eyes shows red and dark fruits, toasty oak and spice with a round, generous structure. This wine should be cellared for twelve to sixteen months, and under proper storage conditions will continue to develop for four to six years.
