Description
RAEN Fort-Ross Seaview ‘Sea Field’ Pinot Noir 2018
Varietal: Pinot Noir
Previously known as Home Field, Starting with the 2018 vintage, the Home Field bottling will be known as Sea Field. A more fitting name as this beautiful site is in fact an ancient sea field of diverse marine soils broken down from bedrock dating back between 66 and 200 million years. Situated less than 2 miles from the Pacific Ocean with an elevation of 1500 feet, Sea Field Vineyard produces Raen’s most elegant wines year in and year out. Rose petals, blood orange pith, crushed raspberry, wild strawberry, and wet rock bordering the forest fill the bowl. White tea, sea moss, rhubarb, savory herbs, forest berries, and floral tones linger on your palate with a long and seemingly everlasting finish.
100 % Whole cluster • Native fermentation • Aged in neutral French oak barrels • Bottled without fining or filtration • 4.8 acres
